The official trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Chihiro Yuzuki’s manga, With You, Our Love Will Make It Through (Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru), was released today, revealing a new cast member, the opening theme song artist, and its premiere date of October 14. The highly anticipated series is set to air in Japan, with streaming details for international audiences to be announced by REMOW, who has licensed the series.
New Cast Member Joins the Romantic Fantasy
The latest trailer confirmed the addition of Ai Kakuma to the voice cast, taking on the role of Kisara. Kisara is described as a feline-type beastfolk, a significant detail given the anime’s premise of a world where humans and beastfolk coexist. Kakuma is known for her roles such as Albis in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
The existing main cast includes Manaka Iwami as Mari Asaka, a high school student who encounters a beastfolk transfer student, and Takuya Eguchi as Tsunagu Hidaka, the beastfolk student himself. Kōtarō Nishiyama also voices Yukihiro Aida.
The Story of ‘With You, Our Love Will Make It Through’
The anime, adapted from Chihiro Yuzuki’s popular shojo manga, delves into a romantic fantasy set in a society where beastfolk live alongside humans, often facing prejudice. The plot centers on Mari, a high schooler who initially feels confused and nervous upon meeting Tsunagu, a beastfolk who transfers to her class. Despite initial apprehension, Mari finds herself increasingly drawn to Tsunagu’s gentle and steadfast nature as they spend time together. Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, describing the premise as a developing bond that challenges societal norms. The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Manga Mee service since May 2021 and has garnered significant readership with over 1.2 million copies in circulation as of December 2024.
CHiCO with HoneyWorks Returns for Opening Theme
The new trailer also offered a preview of the opening theme song, titled “Kusuguttai” (meaning “Ticklish”), performed by CHiCO with HoneyWorks. This marks a return for the musical group, who had halted activities in 2023. CHiCO with HoneyWorks is known for their contributions to various anime soundtracks, including “Himitsu Koi-Gokoro” for Rent-A-Girlfriend and “Gamushara” for BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS.
CHiCO expressed excitement about contributing to the anime, stating that the story of love transcending species “made my heart flutter!” They hope listeners will enjoy “Kusuguttai,” which is described as being “filled with Mari-chan’s heartfelt emotions.”

The With You, Our Love Will Make It Through anime is being produced by Studio Millepensee. Shin Itagaki (So I’m a Spider, So What?) serves as both director and series composer, with Hiromi Kimura (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too) co-directing and handling character designs. Other key staff include Akiyoshi Yasuda on music, Masakazu Miyake as art director, and Ryōsuke Naya along with Shin Itagaki as sound directors.
The series is officially set to premiere on October 14, 2025. While REMOW has acquired the licensing rights, specific streaming details for global audiences are anticipated to be announced closer to the debut.
