Fans of the popular manga Delicious in Dungeon (also known as Dungeon Meshi) have another exciting announcement: Yen Press will release Monster Eater: Delicious in Dungeon the Board Game in English in May 2026.
Game Details and Gameplay
Inspired by the 1998 Monster Maker board game and designed by Ginichiro Suzuki, this collaborative game invites 2-5 players to delve into a dungeon, seeking fame, wealth, and power. A core mechanic of the game, true to the manga’s premise, involves players “dining on” deadly monsters they encounter. The game, originally released in Japan on September 15, 2022, is manufactured by Arclight Games. It includes various components such as labyrinth cards, monster cards, character cards, item cards, and tokens, with gameplay typically lasting around 45 minutes for players aged 10 and up. Players choose from different adventurer parties, including Laios’s party, and aim to defeat bosses like “Chimera Farin” and “Sisulu the Mad Sorcerer,” managing food resources by cooking defeated monsters.
This announcement follows Yen Press’s previous confirmation of an English release for the Delicious in Dungeon World Bible (Complete Edition), further expanding the franchise’s presence for international fans.

In related news, Yen Press also announced a new partnership with Tapas Entertainment to bring a selection of its iconic light novel series to the digital publishing platform. Starting October 2025, titles from Yen On, Yen Press’s novel imprint, will be available on Tapas, offering readers free access to the first five “episodes” and daily new content releases. This initiative aims to reach new audiences and provide existing fans with another accessible way to read their favorite titles.
