The announcement, made on Friday, was accompanied by the release of a character visual and a new trailer, with Aoyama sharing her excitement for the role.
Aoyama to Voice Key Character Ibuki Tonami
Yoshino Aoyama will take on the role of Ibuki Tonami, a significant character in the series. Ibuki is the leader of the dorm where the titular protagonist, Kamiina Botan, resides. Their meeting leads Botan, a 20-year-old college freshman, to experience her first drink, sparking a bond as they explore various alcoholic beverages together. Aoyama commented on the honor of lending her voice to the characters, who live within a “gently flowing, delicate passage of time”.

The TV anime is an adaptation of Hey’s yuri comedy manga, “Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana.” The story centers on Kamiina Botan, a college student who, after her fateful encounter with Ibuki, discovers a bolder, more daring side to herself when she’s tipsy, often saying surprising things. The manga began serialization on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website in March 2019.
Production Staff and Studio
The anime is being animated by Studio Soigne, known for their work on mono. Takashi Sakuma, who directed 16bit Sensation: Another Layer, is helming the project as director. Shuntaro Tozawa serves as the assistant director. Kou Yoshinari is in charge of character designs, and Yoko Yonaiyama is handling the series composition. Kana Hashiguchi is composing the music for the series.
