The upcoming anime adaptation of Kocha Agasawa’s romantic comedy manga, You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantai na Kimi to Boku), has announced the addition of Miyuri Shimabukuro and Wataru Katō to its voice cast. Shimabukuro will voice the character Azuma, while Katō is set to play Taira, further expanding the ensemble for the highly anticipated January 2026 premiere.
Key New Cast Members and Their Roles
Miyuri Shimabukuro is cast as Azuma, who is described as Suzuki’s “blonde bombshell” friend. Shimabukuro has a notable history in anime, having previously voiced Inka in Fire Force.
Wataru Katō joins as Taira, a character who has been friends with Azuma for some time and begins to integrate into her social circle during high school. Katō’s previous roles include Reno Ichikawa in Kaiju No. 8.

The You and I Are Polar Opposites anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.
