The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa’s romantic comedy manga, You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantai na Kimi to Boku), has announced the addition of three new cast members. The newly revealed voice actors will portray supporting characters in the series, which is set to premiere in January 2026.
The newly announced cast members include:
- Yuna Taniguchi as Watanabe
- Konatsu Hirabayashi as Sato
- Anji Iwata as Yamada
These additions join the previously revealed main cast, which features Sayumi Suzushiro as the energetic Miyu Suzuki and Shōgo Sakata as the quiet Yusuke Tani. Both Suzushiro and Sakata have commented on their roles, expressing their excitement for the series and their connection to their characters.
The anime adaptation is being produced by Lapin Track, with Takakazu Nagatomo directing. Teruko Utsumi is handling the series composition and also serves as the animation producer. Character designs are by Mako Miyako, with Naho Kozono and Sayuri Sakimoto serving as chief animation directors. Tofubeats is composing the music for the series.
You and I Are Polar Opposites tells the story of high school students Miyu Suzuki and Yusuke Tani, who are, as the title suggests, polar opposites. Suzuki is cheerful and outgoing, often trying to fit in, while Tani is stoic, quiet, and seemingly unconcerned with others’ opinions. The manga, which was serialized on Shueisha’s Jump+ service, has garnered significant popularity, selling over 1.45 million copies across digital and physical formats. Crunchyroll has announced plans to stream the series as it airs.
