Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours GH magazine has announced that its January 2026 issue will be its last, marking the end of its print run. The manga serialized in the magazine will transition to a new digital website titled COMIC Y-OURs, slated to launch on January 13.
The move is framed by the magazine’s editorial staff as a “graduation” from print publishing, aiming to align with current industry trends. Despite being the final issue, the magazine even launched two new manga, Natsumi Ouchi’s Cherry×Cherry and Yukari Koala’s Magical Agent, alongside a one-shot by Sumihito Itami and Satoshi Arai titled “Ike! Occult Kenkyūbu” (Go! Occult Research Club).
The Evolution of Young King Ours GH
Young King Ours GH has been a notable publication in the seinen manga landscape, primarily targeting male audiences, mostly older teens and young adults. Shonengahosha initially launched the magazine as Monthly Young King in October 2006, later rebranding it to its current name, Young King Ours GH, in August 2013. Over its lifespan, it has featured a diverse range of manga titles.
Manga Moving to the New COMIC Y-OURs Platform
The transition to COMIC Y-OURs is designed to provide a new home for the ongoing series previously featured in the print magazine. The first manga confirmed to move to the new digital platform is Michiro Ueyama’s Akuyaku Reijō Tensei Oji-san.
While many series will find a new home, some manga concluded with the final print issue. Hosana Tanaka’s Megami no Ko manga, which launched in November 2023, is among those that ended with the January 2026 issue.

The Future of Shonengahosha’s Manga
The launch of COMIC Y-OURs on January 13, 2026, signifies Shonengahosha’s commitment to adapting to the evolving manga market. By moving its serializations to a dedicated website, the publisher aims to reach readers through a digital platform, aligning with contemporary consumption habits for manga. This strategic pivot highlights the ongoing transformation within the publishing industry, where digital platforms are increasingly becoming the primary medium for content delivery.
