The science-fiction crime suspense anime series “Your Forma” is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the United States. The series, based on the light novel by Mareho Kikuishi and Tsubata Nozaki, premiered in Japan on April 2, 2025. Its streaming availability on Amazon Prime Video began on July 11, 2025.
Initially, anime distributor REMOW announced that “Your Forma” would stream on the Samsung TV Plus service in the U.S. and Canada, alongside other platforms in various regions globally. The anime features both Japanese audio with English and Latin American Spanish subtitles, as well as an English dub.
Synopsis of Your Forma
“Your Forma” is set in a world where a viral encephalitis pandemic in 1992 led to the development of “Your Forma,” an invasive information device implanted into the brain. This technology records every sight, sound, and emotion. In this futuristic setting, major crimes are investigated by “Electronic Investigators” who delve into this collective data. The story follows Echika Hieda, a gifted “Electronic Investigator,” and her humanoid partner, Harold, as they work together to uncover hidden secrets.
Production and Staff
The anime adaptation is produced by Geno Studio and Twin Engine. Takaharu Ozaki, known for his work on “Goblin Slayer,” directs the series. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is responsible for the series composition and screenwriting, while Chikashi Kadekaru handles character design, and Tatsuya Kato composes the music. The voice cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Echika Hieda and Kenshō Ono as Harold W. Lucraft.
The original light novel series, written by Mareho Kikuishi and illustrated by Tsubata Nozaki, began publication in March 2021. A manga adaptation by Yoshinori Kisaragi was serialized from June 2021 to September 2023.
