The “Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho” anime has announced a wave of new cast members and updated its theme song artists as it progresses into the Bakumatsu arc. The series premiered on March 31, 2025, with a one-hour special and is set to air for two consecutive cours.
Expanded Cast for the Edo and Bakumatsu Arcs
Several new voice actors have joined the cast, adding depth to the unfolding narrative. For the anime’s “Edo arc,” which began with episode two, the following cast members were revealed: Saya Aizawa as Natsu, Hiromu Mineta as Zenji, Masaki Aizawa as Juzo, Yoji Ueda as Kihei Restaurant Owner, Ai Kayano as Ofu, Seiichiro Yamashita as Naotsugu Miura, Hitomi Nabatame as Yotaka, and Koji Yusa as Somegoro Akitsu.
As the series transitions into the Bakumatsu arc starting with episode 14, additional cast members have been announced. These include Toshihiko Seki as Yasuhide Hatakeyama, Kenichiro Matsuda as Tsuchiura, and Kazuya Nakai as Kiichi Okada. Earlier announcements also included Kentaro Kumagai as Kiyomasa and Haruka Shamoto as Chitose.
Previously announced main cast members include Taku Yashiro as Jinta, Reina Ueda as Suzune, Saori Hayami as Shirayuki, Hiroshi Shirokuma as Doga no Oni, and Yui Kondo as Tomi no Kijo.
For the English dub, HIDIVE has announced its cast, with Aaron Campbell as Jinta/Jinya, Donna Bella Litton as Byakuya, and Juliet Simmons as Suzune, among others.
New Theme Song Artists Revealed
The “Sword of the Demon Hunter” anime has also unveiled new artists for its theme songs as it enters the Bakumatsu arc. The new opening theme song, “Ash,” is performed by [Alexandros]. The new ending theme song, “Enrin,” is performed by FAKE TYPE.
Prior to these, the initial opening theme song was “Continue” by the Japanese rock band NEE. The first ending theme song was “Senya Ichiya” (One Thousand and One Nights), performed by Hilcrhyme featuring Izumi Nakasone from HY.
