What to Expect in Season 2
“Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill” follows Mukoda Tsuyoshi, an ordinary salaryman mistakenly summoned to a magical realm. While not a hero, his unique “Online Grocery” skill allows him to procure modern food items, which have surprising effects in this new world. His cooking prowess, combined with his access to contemporary ingredients, attracts powerful mythical beasts like Fel and Sui, who become his loyal companions.
The second season promises new adventures and, of course, more delicious meals as Mukoda continues his journey. The anime is an adaptation of Ren Eguchi and Masa’s light novel series. Studio MAPPA is handling the animation production for the series. Most of the staff from the first season are returning, though Tsuyoshi Kuwahara joins Nao Ōtsu on character designs, and there are some changes in chief animation directors and other roles.
The opening theme song for Season 2, “yummy goodday,” is performed by Cent Chihiro Chittiii, while Chelmico performs the ending theme song “SALT AND PEPPER.”
The first season of the anime ran for 12 episodes from January to March 2023, with the sequel announced in October of the same year. The second season’s premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations is set for October 7th.
