The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026, with international screenings also planned.
The highly anticipated film promises to offer a re-edited narrative of both anime seasons while incorporating new, original footage that delves into Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada’s story beyond the events of the TV series.
A Glimpse into the Film: Trailer Highlights and New Theme Song

One notable highlight from the trailer is a live performance sequence featuring Kana Ichikawa’s band, Primary COLOR!, performing their track “GOES ON.”
Adding to the film’s allure, the popular duo Yorushika, who performed the first season’s opening theme, returns to contribute the movie’s theme song, titled “Akane” (Madder). N-buna from Yorushika shared that the song was inspired by Toson Shimazaki’s poetry collection, Wakana-shū, and aims to capture the “red-hued glow” and intense nostalgia associated with the characters’ school days.
