Crunchyroll has announced it will stream You and Idol Precure (Kimi to Idol Precure♪), the 22nd main anime entry in the Precure franchise, as part of its Winter 2025 season lineup. The anime series is set to begin streaming on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EST in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Anime Premise and Story
You and Idol Precure introduces viewers to Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student residing in Hanamichi Town who has a passion for singing. One day, while walking her dog, Kyu-chan, Uta discovers a giant peach-like object floating down the river. She encounters Purirun, a fairy searching for the legendary saviors known as the Idol Precure. Purirun reveals that her home, Kira-Kira Land, is under threat from the Chokkiri gang’s boss, Darkiine. As the “sparkle” of Hanamichi Town’s residents begins to be stolen by the Chokkiri gang, Uta proclaims, “I want to sparkle! With my song!” and transforms into Cure Idol.
The series will revolve around the theme of idols, with magical girls transforming into idols who sing, dance and engage with fans to save people whose “sparkle” has been stolen. The tagline for the anime is: “With ‘you,’ I can shine brighter and become stronger!”

Broadcast and Streaming Details
You and Idol Precure will premiere in Japan on February 2nd at 8:30 a.m. on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and 22 other affiliated channels (which is February 1st at 6:30 p.m. EST). It will also be available on Broadcasting System of San-in, the TVer service, and various streaming platforms.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime in select regions, beginning on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EST.
Events
Prior to the official broadcast, the anime will hold its first event, “Ohirome Debut Live” on February 1st at the Yokohama Landmark Tower in Kanagawa Prefecture. This will be followed by tours to Aichi’s Aeon Mall Nagoya Chaya on February 16th and Osaka’s Grand Front Osaka on March 15th.
You and Idol Precure Movie
A film adaptation of the anime, tentatively titled Eiga Kimi to Idol Precure♪ (You and Idol Precure♪ the Movie), is scheduled for release in Fall 2025 in Japan. The official announcement was made during a Toei lineup presentation. Further details, including cast, crew, and story, will be released as the year progresses.

You and Idol Precure is the 22nd main anime series in the Precure franchise, known for its magical girl themes. The previous series, Wonderful Precure!, premiered in February 2024 and is also available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
