The “Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho” anime has announced additional voice cast members and new theme song artists, coinciding with the series’ progression into its Bakumatsu arc. The new arc commenced with episode 14.
Expanded Voice Cast for Bakumatsu Arc
For the ongoing Bakumatsu arc, several prominent voice actors have joined the cast. Toshihiko Seki, known for roles such as Mousse in Ranma 1/2, will portray Yasuhide Hatakeyama. Kenichiro Matsuda, who voiced Batou in Ghost in the Shell: Arise, has been cast as Tsuchiura. Furthermore, Kazuya Nakai, recognized for his role as Ryuji Suguro in Blue Exorcist, will lend his voice to Kiichi Okada.
These new additions join an already extensive cast, including Taku Yashiro as Jinta, Reina Ueda as Suzune, and Saori Hayami as Shirayuki. Other previously announced cast members include Saya Aizawa as Natsu, Hiromu Mineta as Zenji, Masaki Aizawa as Juzo, and Ai Kayano as Ofu. Kentaro Kumagai and Haruka Shamoto were also announced earlier, playing Kiyomasa and Chitose, respectively.
New Theme Songs Unveiled
The “Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho” anime will feature new musical themes to mark the start of its Bakumatsu arc. The band [Alexandros] will perform the new opening theme song, titled “Ash”. For the new ending theme, the unit FAKE TYPE will provide the song “Enrin”.
Previously, the anime’s opening theme was “Continue” by the Japanese rock band NEE. The initial ending theme was “Senya Ichiya feat. Izumi Nakasone (HY)” by Hilcrhyme.
The anime, based on Moto’o Nakanishi’s novel series Kijin Gentosho, premiered with a one-hour special on March 31 and is set to air for two consecutive cours. HIDIVE is simulcasting the series.
