Fans of the laid-back Isekai anime “Farming Life in Another World” (also known as Isekai Nonbiri Nōka) have reason to celebrate, as a second season has been officially confirmed for release in 2026. This announcement, made on August 24, 2025, also revealed that the popular series will receive its first game adaptation, a browser game titled Farming Life in Another World -Dreamy Life-.
Second Season Cultivates a 2026 Return
The upcoming second season will continue the tranquil yet bustling life of Hiraku Machio, a young man who, after succumbing to a terminal illness in his previous life, is reincarnated in a fantasy world with the wish to live a peaceful farming existence. Gifted with an “Almighty Farming Tool” by a sympathetic god, Hiraku cultivates a barren forest into a thriving settlement known as Great Tree Village. The new season promises to delve deeper into Hiraku’s adventures, introducing new crops, companions, and challenges as the village continues to grow and attract a diverse cast of residents, including vampires, elves, beastmen, and angels.
Ryoichi Kuraya, who directed the first season, will return to helm the second season at Studio ZERO-G, also taking on series composition and script duties. Yoshiko Saito will continue as both character designer and chief animation director. Atsushi Abe reprises his role as the protagonist, Hiraku Machio, joined by returning voice actors Shino Shimoji as Loo, Aya Suzaki as Tier, and Lynn as Ria.
The initial confirmation for the second season was first hinted at by an Amazon product listing for the 19th volume of the light novel series, which mentioned the 2026 premiere and that the series has surpassed 5.7 million copies in circulation.
Venture into “Dreamy Life” with the First Game Adaptation
Complementing the anime’s return is the announcement of Farming Life in Another World -Dreamy Life-, a browser-based game that marks the first interactive adaptation of the beloved series. Pre-registration for the game is now open. The game aims to offer players an accessible and relaxing “slow life in another world” experience with simple controls, allowing them to engage in the charm of farming and community building that defines the series.
The Enduring Appeal of “Farming Life in Another World”
The Farming Life in Another World series originated as a light novel written by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo, first published online via the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in December 2016. It was later acquired by Enterbrain, with its popularity leading to a manga adaptation and the first anime television series, which aired from January to March 2023. The narrative’s charm lies in its focus on the peaceful, slice-of-life aspects of building a community and fostering relationships in a fantasy setting, a refreshing take on the Isekai genre.
