Manga author Nanaki Nanao has announced that their Völundio ~Divergent Sword Saga~ (also known as Iken Senki Völundio) manga will officially resume serialization on December 8. The series will continue on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE service, following a hiatus that began in late 2023.

The resumption on December 8 marks the highly anticipated return of the fantasy series for its second part. Nanaki Nanao had previously informed readers in May that the manga would be taking a break to ensure the quality of the work and to prioritize their health, with an initial plan to resume in August or September. An update in August confirmed Nanao’s good health and comfortable writing pace, leading to the December decision, influenced by factors such as manuscript stock and the proximity of compiled book volume releases.
The manga’s first part concluded in November 2023, at which point a long hiatus was announced to allow for preparations for the second part and to address Nanao’s deteriorating physical condition. The series then resumed and commenced its second part in December 2024.
