The anime adaptation of the fantasy light novel series, The Unaware Atelier Meister, has recently announced the addition of Ai Kakuma to its cast. Kakuma will be voicing Akuri, a mysterious girl who emerges from an egg that Kurt receives as a reward for completing a quest. Akuri’s character will be introduced in episode 7, which aired on May 18, 2025.

The Unaware Atelier Meister is a TV anime based on the fantasy light novel series of the same name. The light novels are written by Yosuke Tokino and illustrated by Zounoze. AlphaPolis publishes the original light novels in Japan, with an English language version of the manga adaptation available on Alpha Manga, featuring artwork by Naharu Furukawa. The anime series premiered in Japan on April 6, 2025, and has a total of 12 episodes. The series began streaming a week earlier, starting on March 30, 2025. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime worldwide, outside of Japan.
Synopsis
The story follows Kurt Rockhans, a kind-hearted 15-year-old who is part of the hero’s party, the Flaming Dragon Fang. Despite lacking any real combat talent, Kurt is content with his role as the party’s helper. However, his life takes a turn when the other members banish him from the party. After being kicked out, Kurt starts repairing castle walls and mining for resources to make a living, and his hidden talents are quickly revealed. He excels in cooking, building, mining, and crafting magical tools – possessing an SSS-ranking in skills unrelated to combat. Kurt remains largely unaware of his exceptional abilities, leading him to inadvertently save the town, its people, and even the country through his actions.

The anime is directed by Hisashi Ishii at EMT Squared. Deko Akao is in charge of the series composition, Miyuki Nakamura is responsible for the character designs, and Shunya Watanabe is the music composer. The opening theme song is “FACSTORY” by MeseMoa., while the ending theme song is “Haru ni Kiete” by LOT SPiRiTS.
