About Manga Up! Global

Manga Up! is a Japanese manga service that was originally launched in Japan in January 2017. It hosts manga series published by Square Enix and serializes original works. The service launched internationally in English in July 2022. Manga Up! offers a variety of titles, including those published by Square Enix and series from other publishers. The platform is accessible through Android and iOS apps, as well as a website.

Manga Up! has faced criticism regarding its monetization model, with some comparing it to microtransactions in video games and criticizing the pricing. The service has also addressed censorship concerns, citing policies in non-English countries as the reason for initial censorship practices, which have since been modified.
